Fashion
Since I don't use this blog the way I meant to then I'll just post random stuff. I just discovered the Business of Fashion 500, BOF500 which is basically a professional index of the people shaping the fashion industry worldwide. Some notable people: Gdragon, Rihanna, and more!

2013 Professional Resolutions
Even though I am only a lowly library assistant, I also have part time youth services duties. Simply meaning I do the work of a young adult librarian:) I have pretty high standards for myself and though I have been frustrated with myself this year I do have to admit that I have accomplished some goals.
I finished my first year of MLIS program, I joined the ALA, GLA,and YALSA and attended networking events. All of these things were good but pretty basic. For 2013 I would like to add some depth. I don't want to just join an organization or committee but I would like to be an active and useful member. I want to be valuable.
Below are my goals, they are pretty vague but I wanted to leave some wiggle room. I will try to update this blog more regularly to see if I'm actually accomplishing some of these goals.
2013 Professional Resolutions
1. Get Organized!
2. Plan Ahead/Stop procrastinating
3. Improve Teen participation in all events including Summer Reading
4. Improve Graphic Novel/Manga Collection
5. Network /Foster better professional relationships
6. Learn Grant Writing/Find funding and support
7. Participate in Continuing Education at least once a month
8. Create Dynamic Programming each month
9. Ask for Help
10. Figure out my professional identity
